The Midtown Group, Inc.’s Internet Privacy Policy
The Midtown Group, Inc. (“Midtown”) is strongly committed to respecting the privacy of those who use our internet site. We strive to provide a safe and secure user experience. This Privacy Statement defines the commitment of The Midtown Group, Inc. to protect the privacy of personal information that is collected or used in the course of conducting our business. By submitting identifying data, a visitor to our website is agreeing to our collection and use of such data as described in this privacy statement.
1.         Information Collection
When you submit personal information and/or your resume, your information and your resume are hosted on our internal servers. If you apply for a job or elect to register with Midtown at this website, Midtown will be able to view your information and your resume, but no one else will be able to view them. Midtown requests this information and maintains the information on their server which will be accessed by Midtown only and no other third parties. Midtown believes that managing your career is a life-long process, and even after your information has been entered into the Midtown resume database, Midtown retains indefinitely all the information gathered about you in an effort to make your repeat use with Midtown more efficient, practical and relevant.
2.         Information Use
Midtown’s use of the information we gather on our website whether personal, demographic, collective or technical is for the purpose of fostering a positive user experience, delivering the services that we offer and, ultimately, to create sales opportunities. We may use your contact information that you provide in the online registration forms to contact you via telephone, e-mail, direct mail or other communications regarding profile fits, updates at the Midtown site, such as new opportunities and services which may be of interest to you, or for telemarketing purposes. Should you decide that you would no longer like to be contacted by Midtown, please notify Midtown and our best efforts will be used to remove you from our contact list. If you do not wish to receive future e-mails from Midtown, please reply to the Midtown e-mail solicitation by including "Unsubscribe" in the subject line. Accordingly, you should not receive similar e-mail solicitations from Midtown in the future.
3.         Information Sharing/Disclosure
The Midtown Group, Inc. website may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of other websites to which you choose to link from our sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those other websites so you can understand how they collect, use, and share your information. Midtown uses your information internally, with other Midtown-owned subsidiaries and affiliates, but does not disclose your personal information to third parties, except as set forth in the following four subparagraphs.
  1. We disclose information to third parties if you consent to such disclosure. Accordingly, we would use data we have about you (such as the interests and preferences you have expressed) to determine whether you might be interested in the opportunities, products or services of a particular third-party.
  2. We may disclose such information to companies and individuals we employ or contract to perform functions on our behalf. Examples may include (i) the storing of your personal information in an external, third party owned database, and (ii) electronic mail campaigns, whereby the third party stores your user information on their server. These individuals/companies will have access to your personal information as necessary to perform their functions, but they may not share that information with any other third party.

Midtown may disclose such information if legally required to do so, if requested to do so by a governmental entity or if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to legal requirements or comply with legal process; (b) protect the rights or property of Spherion or its affiliated companies; (c) prevent a crime or protect national security; or (d) protect the personal safety of users or the public.
  4. We may disclose and transfer such information to a third party who acquires all or a substantial portion of Midtown’s business, whether such acquisition is by way of merger, consolidation or purchase of all or a substantial portion of our assets.
4.         Use of Cookies
Midtown’s website uses "cookies" to help personalize and maximize your online experience and time online. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard drive by a Web page server. Cookies are not used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to your computer, and can only be read by a Web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.  
One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature to save you time. The purpose of a cookie is to tell the Web server that you have returned to a specific page. Because of our use of cookies, we can deliver faster and more accurate results and a more personalized site experience.

Midtown’s website is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
